This guide explains how to schedule a monitoring session in the Care Portal after a patient has already been created.
Prerequisites
Before scheduling a monitoring session, make sure that:
- You have access to the Care Portal
- The patient has already been added to the system
Step 1: Open the Patient Profile
Log in to the Care Portal and navigate to the patients list.
Step 2: Start a New Monitoring Session
Select or hover over the three dots located at the far right of the patient’s row, then tap Request monitoring session.
Step 3: Configure the Monitoring Details
- Choose the Session type.
- Choose whether you want to receive an email notification when the report is ready to be previewed and generated:
- Yes: You will receive an email when the report is ready.
- No: No email notification will be sent. - Click Next.
Step 4: Add Medication Reminders
You can optionally add a medication plan before starting the session.
- Enter the medication plan in the available field, if applicable.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Add reminders manually
- Generate medication schedule
The AI-generated medication schedule feature is currently in Beta. The generated information may not be accurate. Review all medications, times, and settings carefully before saving.
For each medication:
- Enter the medication name.
- Optionally enter the strength.
- Set the reminder time using the Hours and Minutes fields.
- To add additional reminder times, click Add another time and repeat the process.
- Optionally add a comment, such as dosage instructions or other notes.
- Select whether the medication is the principal medication.
- The principal medication is the medication whose intake times are displayed in the report.
- Only one medication can be designated as the principal medication.
- Select whether to enable in-app reminders.
- In-app reminders are always enabled for the principal medication and cannot be disabled.
- When enabled, the patient receives push notifications at each scheduled intake time.
- When disabled, notifications are not sent, but medication intake windows remain available for manual logging.
- Repeat these steps for any additional medications.
- Click Next.
Step 5: Review and Submit
- Review all session and medication information.
- Confirm that the details are correct.
- Click Request monitoring.
The monitoring session will be created using the selected settings.

After scheduling the monitoring session, you can proceed with assigning an EmbraceMini device to the patient.
