How to edit a medication reminder for a Parkinson’s Patient

This article is intended for clinic staff who have already created a patient within the Care Portal and need to modify the medication reminder associated with that patient.

For patients in an active continuous monitoring session (longer than 2 weeks), medication reminders can be edited at any time.

For episodic monitoring sessions (7 days), medication reminders can only be edited when the patient status is Waiting.

To proceed:

  1. Log in to the Care Portal for Parkinson Monitoring.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Patients.

  3. Click on the three dots in the right-hand corner of their profile row.

  4. Select Amend Medication Reminders

  5. At this stage, you will be able to add new medication reminders or remove existing ones, as needed. Once you have completed the changes, click Save to confirm and apply the updates.

The updated medication plan is sent to the patient's PKG Monitor app. This process can take up to 1 hour.

When the app receives the updated medication plan, the current monitoring session ends automatically and a new session is created.

If you make additional medication reminder changes on the same day, the current session is not interrupted again.
