Ending a monitoring session is the final step of the monitoring period. To properly close the session and ensure all data is uploaded for a complete report, the off-boarding process must be completed.
Off-boarding consists of offloading any remaining data from the EmbraceMini and uploading it to the cloud, ensuring that the monitoring data is complete before the device is returned.
The off-boarding process is completed directly in the app and follows a short guided flow.
Starting the off-boarding process
When it’s time to end a monitoring session, the app automatically sends a notification indicating that the session has concluded and that off-boarding can begin.
Opening the notification starts the off-boarding process in the app.
Uploading the session data
The process begins on the ‘Ready to submit’ screen. After tapping ‘Next’, the app automatically offloads data from the EmbraceMini and uploads it to the cloud.
This step usually takes a few minutes. It may take longer if the device contains several days of stored data.
To help shorten this process, ensure there is a constant connection between the EmbraceMini and the smartphone throughout the monitoring period. This allows data to upload continuously and avoids having to transfer a large amount of stored data at the end.
During the upload process, it is important to:
- Ensure EmbraceMini is charged.
- Keep the EmbraceMini close to the phone
- Keep the app open
- Ensure the phone has an active internet connection
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on the phone and the devices are connected
During the data upload process, the EmbraceMini LED will blink blue and white.
Successful sync
Once the data upload is complete, a confirmation indicates that all data has been successfully uploaded.
At the end of the upload, the EmbraceMini will blink white one time, and then the LED will turn off.
After the upload is completed, the app will automatically log out.
Sync error
If an error occurs during the data upload, a notification and the app indicate that the process was interrupted.
If this happens, repeat the off-boarding process by following the on-screen instructions until the upload completes successfully.
