When This Article Applies
Use this guide if:
- You cannot complete the pairing process.
- The app cannot find the EmbraceMini.
- Pairing fails or stops partway through.
Step-by-Step Pairing Troubleshooting
1. Check Phone Compatibility
Make sure your phone meets the minimum requirements:
- Bluetooth: Version 5.0 or higher.
-
Operating System:
- Android version 13 to 16.
- iOS version 18 to 26.
If your phone does not meet these requirements, pairing will not be possible. In this case, please reach out to your clinic to discuss an alternative solution.
2. Check Basic Conditions
Before pairing, confirm that:
- Before logging in, make sure you selected the correct location in the top-right corner of the PKG Monitor App.
- Your EmbraceMini is charged. To check this, press the button and see if any LED light appears. For a clearer explanation of the LED indicators, please refer to our EmbraceMini LED guide.
- EmbraceMini is within 15 feet / 5 meters distance.
- Your phone is connected to the internet (Wi‑Fi or mobile data).
- Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
3. Check Phone Settings
Some phone settings can block pairing. Make sure your phone is configured according to the instructions outlined in this article: Configure your smartphone to use PKG Monitor, which explains how to:
- Disable battery saving or power optimization for the PKG Monitor App.
- Allow the app to run in the background.
- Enable all required permissions, including Bluetooth, Location (if requested), and Notifications.
4. Pair Only From the PKG Monitor App
Open the PKG Monitor App and follow the on-screen instructions. You’ll find detailed instructions here: How to Pair EmbraceMini with PKG Monitor App.
- If you already paired the EmbraceMini from Bluetooth settings, forget it from there before continuing (iOS devices, Android devices).
- During the pairing process, it is crucial that EmbraceMini goes into pairing mode (fast blue blinking light) before you press “Start Pairing” in the PKG Monitor App. If this order is not followed, pairing may fail.
The EmbraceMini must be paired only through the PKG Monitor App.
Do not try to pair the EmbraceMini from your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Pairing from Bluetooth settings will prevent the setup from working.
5. Restart and Try Again
If the above steps are not working:
- Restart your phone.
- Open the PKG Monitor App.
- Try pairing again from within the app.
6. Reset Network Settings
If pairing still does not work, a network settings reset may help.
Please read carefully before continuing as this step will:
-Remove all Bluetooth pairings.
-Delete saved Wi‑Fi networks.
-Reset Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth settings to default.
Settings → General management → Reset → Reset network settings → Reset settings
You may be asked to enter your phone’s PIN, password, or pattern.
