| This article is for patients who notice that the LED on EmbraceMini does not turn on. |
In most cases, this is normal. The LED is usually off to preserve battery. It only turns on when:
- The device is charging.
- You press the button.
- The device needs attention (for example, if there is an issue that requires checking).
For more details, see EmbraceMini LED Guide for Parkinson Monitoring.
If you press the button and no LED appears, follow the steps below.
Check the app status
Open the PKG Monitor app and check the background color on the main screen.
You can learn more about background colors in PKG Monitor app status colors.
If you see a yellow background, it may mean the battery is fully depleted.
Tap the status card or the background to see more details. When the battery is empty, you will usually see ‘Battery: Not detectable’.
Before the battery becomes fully depleted, you should receive two notifications:
-
When the device reaches 13-8% battery:
-
When the device drops below 5% battery:
If the battery is depleted, charge EmbraceMini right away using the original charger.
If you do not have the charger, contact your clinic.
When you connect the device to the charger, the LED will start blinking white.
If it does not blink, see EmbraceMini is not charging for troubleshooting steps.
If the background is teal and the LED does not turn on when you press the button, the device button may not be working correctly.
Press the button firmly once. If the LED still does not turn on, try rebooting the device:
1. Keep EmbraceMini on the charger for 5-10 minutes, even if the LED is off.
2. While it is still charging, press and hold the button for 15 seconds until the LED turns white.
If the LED does not turn on after these steps, contact your clinic or Empatica for assistance.
